What is a Mobile Proxy?
A mobile proxy routes internet traffic through real cellular devices (smartphones, tablets, dongles) connected to 3G, 4G, or 5G LTE networks. The outgoing IP address is registered under cellular carriers (such as Safaricom, Verizon, or Vodafone).
The Magic of Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT)
Unlike home broadband, cellular networks use Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT) to share a limited number of IPv4 addresses among millions of active mobile users. This means that a single cellular IP is shared by hundreds of legitimate humans at any given moment.
Because blocking a shared cellular IP would block thousands of real potential customers, social networks and search engines are extremely reluctant to ban mobile proxies. This makes them ideal for social media account management.
